Kingston’s cultural calendar is set to light up once again with the return of the New Wave Block Party on October 27, 2024. Taking place at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, this highly anticipated event promises an unforgettable blend of music, art, fashion, food, and culture, offering attendees a fully immersive experience that captures the vibrant pulse of Jamaica’s creative scene.

The New Wave Block Party has grown into a signature event, celebrating the rich diversity of Jamaica’s musical and cultural talent. This year’s edition aims to build on the success of previous years, drawing in crowds with a lineup of both established and rising stars, alongside notable DJs and live performances.

Sponsored by Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum, the organizers are fresh off their involvement at the Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum Festival, where their showcase at Reggae Sumfest created a major buzz.

The New Wave Block Party has previously featured big-name acts such as Protoje, Jesse Royal, and top local selectors like Bloodline Franco and Brush1, attracting an elite crowd of celebrities, tastemakers, and cultural enthusiasts. Known for its eclectic vibe and vibrant energy, the event promises to be a major draw for Kingston’s partygoers and creatives alike.

In July, the New Wave show made waves at the Jamaica Rum Festival, held as part of Reggae Sumfest, in partnership with Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum. The showcase was a standout one-hour set, spotlighting rising stars such as Joby Jay, Royal Blu, Iotosh and Amanyea.

So gear up for another New Wave Block Party that promises to be the ultimate celebration of Jamaica’s music, talent, and cultural vibrancy at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.
