Neymar, set to return to his boyhood club Santos
Brazilian football star Neymar is set to make his highly anticipated return to Santos FC, the club where his professional career began, according to multiple reports from Europe, including renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The forward, currently under contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, is reportedly working on a six-month loan agreement to facilitate his return to Santos.
According to reports from Diario do Peixe, after weeks of negotiations involving Santos President Marcelo Teixeira, CEO Pedro Martins, and Neymar’s father, a deal has been finalized to bring the star back. While Santos has made a significant financial effort, Al Hilal will continue to cover a portion of Neymar's wages, making the reunion possible.
The Brazilian star was recently linked with a potential move to Major League Soccer (MLS), with clubs such as Inter Miami of his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi—and Chicago Fire emerging as possible destinations. However, Neymar now appears set to rejoin Santos ahead of their upcoming Brazilian Serie A campaign, following the club’s promotion after winning the Serie B title.
