Jamaican dancehall female artiste Pamputtae experienced a moment of fame when she joined Nicki Minaj as a special guest during her "Pink Friday 2" world tour, known as the Gag City tour, at the Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto last night.
Expressing her gratitude on social media, Panputte wrote, "I want to give thanks to the most high God. Big up Nicki Minaj for allowing me to open her second show in Toronto. To all my fans that have been here from day one and the new ones, I love you."
The collaboration between the two artists dates back to their joint track, "Likkle Miss" Fine Nine, featured in Skeng & Nicki Minaj's repertoire.
Global superstar Nicki Minaj has long been known as a fervent supporter of dancehall music, and her recent collaboration with Jamaican artists like Skeng, Skillibeng among others is just one example of her ongoing support for the genre.
Moreover, the Trini-American rapper also welcomed local star Drake onto the stage in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 20,000 people. The tour now moves forward to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
