Man City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Manchester City will be the final club he manages in his career. He made the statement during a podcast with Spanish celebrity chef Dani García.
"I’m not going to manage another club. This isn’t about the distant future, but what I can say for certain is that I won’t leave Manchester City and then start the same process in another country," said the 53-year-old Spaniard.
"I wouldn’t have the energy for it. The idea of starting fresh somewhere else, going through the entire training process again... No, no, no! Maybe a national team, but that’s different," added Guardiola.
Just about three weeks ago, the Catalan signed a two-year contract extension, with his new deal running until 2027. This decision comes despite the club experiencing its most challenging phase since he took charge. Prior to the announcement, speculation had intensified that the 53-year-old would leave the club at the end of the current season.
