Dancehall superstar Popcaan and producer Drop Top once again deliver a reflective single — a warning on trust, loyalty, and betrayal with ‘How You Aguh Know’.

Dancehall superstar Popcaan is once again teaming up with producer Drop Top for the release of “How You Aguh Know” — a poetic reflection on loyalty and the people we keep close.

“How You Aguh Know” captures the unspoken truth many wrestle with — you never really know who’s real. The track dives into those unsettling moments when your closest circle starts to feel distant, and the people you once trusted begin to show their true colors.

“This song came from a real place,” shared Droptop, head of Droptop Records. “You give your all to people, and sometimes they turn on you. It’s painful but it’s life. This track is for everyone who’s felt that sting and kept moving.”

Unruly Entertainment added: “We’ve all had those moments where you're blindsided by people you thought were loyal. This song is us saying: stay sharp, stay grounded. Loyalty is rare, protect your energy.”

The video, Shot in St. Catherine, the video brings the song’s message to life, showing how quickly smiles can turn into betrayal. It highlights the harsh reality of backstabbing friends, shifting family loyalties, and fake support from those secretly rooting for your downfall.

“The video shows what the song is saying your own people can become strangers. It’s about trust, pain, and moving smart,” said the video’s director Lagikz Superme. “It’s real life, no gimmicks.”

The new single follows a string of collaborations between the two this year, including the introspective “Kick It Wid Myself” featuring Chronic Law, which has amassed over 4.5 million views to date, and the spiritually-charged “Nothing Without God,” released in March.
