For over a decade now, Jamaican dancehall superstar Popcaan and American producer Dre Skull have been a dynamic duo, churning out hit after hit. As 2024 unfolds, it appears they're gearing up to unleash more musical magic.
Recently, the Unruly Boss took to his Instagram, sharing fresh snapshots of himself and Dre Skull with a caption: "Already know what Happen when we link up." This teaser suggests that new collaborative singles are in the pipeline.
Dre Skull, born Andrew Hershey, first teamed up with Popcaan on the latter's 2014 sophomore album 'Where We Come From,' contributing significantly to tracks like 'Ghetto' and 'Love Yuh Bad.' Their fruitful partnership continued with Popcaan's 2018 album 'Forever,' spawning hits such as 'Silence' and 'Firm and Strong' that amassed millions of streams and views.
Beyond Popcaan, Dre Skull has left his mark on the music industry, collaborating with global stars like Rihanna, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, as well as dancehall icon Vybz Kartel.
Popcaan has already revealed that he is working toward at his forthcoming album, following the release of his latest offering 'GIHE' in early 2023. Closing out the previous year with a surprise mixtape titled 'Best Mood,' aimed at his female fanbase, he's keeping the momentum alive.
The 35-year-old singjay is set to bring his own Unruly Fest at the South Facing Festival in London on July 28th.
