Popcaan, celebrates his second gold-certified single
As he celebrates the 10th anniversary of his sophomore masterpiece album "Where We Come From" with a deluxe edition, dancehall superstar Popcaan has earned his second gold-certified single in the United States.
On Thursday, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded a gold certification to Popcaan's 2020 hit "Twist & Turn," recognizing 500,000 units sold through combined sales and streaming. The track, featuring Canadian rap heavyweights Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR, is part of Popcaan’s critically acclaimed Fixtape album. He shared the news with fans via his Instagram story.
"Twist & Turn" is featured on his 2020 project Fixtape, which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart and reached #94 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
Popcaan's first RIAA gold certification came in March 2021 for his contribution to Jamie XX’s single "I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times"), featuring rapper Young Thug.
