Following the Jamaica team's disappointing performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, changes within the nation's top athletics clubs appear to be underway as part of early reflections.

According to reports from Sportmax, sprint legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is expected to part ways with coach Reynaldo Walcott, which may lead to her departure from Elite Track Club. At 37 years old, Fraser-Pryce’s future in athletics remains uncertain.

Additionally, two-time Olympic double champion Elaine Thompson-Herah, who missed the Paris Games due to an Achilles injury, is also expected to leave Walcott's group. According to the Jamaica Gleaner, Thompson-Herah is speculated to be rejoining MVP Track Club.

Another major name expected to join MVP Track Club is Olympic bronze medalist Rasheed Broadbell, who is also set to depart from Elite Track Club.

While Fraser-Pryce's future remains uncertain, the move appears to be a decisive step for Thompson-Herah. The 32-year-old Jamaican track icon is now focusing on her return to competition and may rejoin MVP Track Club, where she last trained before her departure in 2021.

Following the disappointment in Paris Olympics, the near future will be crucial for many of Jamaica's athletes as they navigate pivotal decisions regarding their careers and training environments.
