Sexxy Red set to make her debut in Jamaica
Rap sensation Sexyy Red is set to headline BZR Weekend, slated for Carnival Saturday, April 26, at Sabina Park in Kingston, organizers announced on Saturday.
The American rapper, known for her viral and unapologetic style, will be making her debut performance in Jamaica. Sexyy Red rose to fame with her bold lyrics and raw trap beats that celebrate female empowerment, sexuality, and street culture. Among her standout tracks are “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME” featuring GloRilla—which has amassed over 67 million views on YouTube to date—“Pound Town,” and “Fat Juicy & Wet” featuring Bruno Mars.
Joining her on the lineup are dancehall stars Shenseea and Dexta Daps, as well as Trinidadian soca acts Nailah Blackman, Yung Bredda, and Lady Lava.
The last staging of BZR Weekend in Jamaica took place in 2023 and was headlined by the unforgettable Chris Brown and Friends concert at the National Stadium, which featured surprise cameos from several local artists.
