Son of the late Denroy Morgan is back with a message of hope on his new single. Laza has several other projects in the works
Laza Morgan says "Be Strong"
International Reggae recording artiste Laza Morgan, son of the late great Ras Denroy Morgan and brother of Morgan Heritage has been silent on the music scene for a while now. However, Laza is back with more strength and vigor, ready to spread messages of hope to all with his latest single, “Be Strong”.
The track is an authentic Roots Reggae song using Laza’s signature voice and conscious lyrical content to speak to souls and elevate spirits. It’s a track for all ages, seasons and stages. Laza expects “Be Strong” to be a huge motivator with everything that’s going on in the world today.
The single was released on Friday, June 16 accompanied by an official music video that had been shot on location in various sections of Downtown Kingston, which had dropped on YouTube the same day. “Be Strong” was produced by Thunda for Rumble Productions out of France and Laza’s own label, Corner Kings Music. In Jamaica, the mix for "Be Strong" and its video was done by Mr Core under his Team Upgrade Production Music company. It is being distributed by Tunecore and will be made available on every online store and streaming platform worldwide.
Laza has several other projects in the works, including two more tracks from Rumble Productions expected to be out by July 2023, as well as songs produced by his son Duce Bigalow which will be released before year end. One such song is also a Roots Reggae track titled “Give Thanks and Praise”, proving that Laza is on a promising path of righteousness in the music he will be putting out.
While no upcoming shows are confirmed as of yet for the rest of the year, Laza will embark on a stringent promotional campaign in order to regain his dominance on world stages. Though the US-based artiste is more focused on putting out new music, Laza is still setting his sights on rebuilding of his family’s home parish of St Thomas and launching his own cannabis line in Jamaica.
Laza Morgan recorded great successes more than a decade ago with the singles "This Girl" which was released Via Atlantic Records and racked up 25 Million views on Yotube and his popular track "One By One" featuring dancehall superstar, Mavado.
