After 15 years, Grammy Award-winning reggae star Buju Banton has been cleared to return to Canada. The travel ban, which had prevented the Jamaican icon from entering the country for over a decade, has finally been lifted, and his visa reinstated.

As part of his "The Overcomer Tour," Buju Banton is set to land in Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on October 13 for a highly anticipated show. Fans are eager for Banton's return, expecting a powerful performance that will reconnect him with his Canadian audience after a long absence.

Joining Banton as a special guest is Gramps Morgan, who has previously accompanied him on several U.S. tour dates, including his major comeback show at the UBS Arena in New York and the Atlanta leg at the State Farm Arena, alongside Haitian-American rapper Fridayy.

Buju’s travel restriction, stemming from past legal issues, has now been officially lifted, clearing the way for the "Destiny" singer to once again deliver his electrifying performances.

Anticipation is already building, especially in cities like Toronto, where reggae fans, including many of his Canadian supporters, have long awaited his return. Social media is buzzing with excitement as fans celebrate Buju's resilience and eagerly look forward to his upcoming performances.

Recently, the reggae superstar officially rescheduled several dates of his "The Overcomer" tour to 2025. This includes his performances in Boston at the TD Garden Arena, as well as shows in Philadelphia on September 1 and Hartford, Connecticut. However, Banton is still set to perform at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on November 17.

Additionally, Buju Banton is set to bring back the highly anticipated "Intimate Concert" to Jamaica on January 4, 2025, alongside his longtime friend and fellow artist, Lover's Rock icon Beres Hammond. The event will feature many special guests, promising an unforgettable night for reggae fans.
