Jugist, Rising Producer making waves in the Jamaican music industry
In Jamaica, where the music scene thrives with vibrancy, Winston 'Jugist' Uter emerges as a true trailblazer. His passion for music coupled with technological savvy culminated in the creation of Jugist Music, a pioneering platform in the Jamaican music industry.
Winston's musical journey commenced in his formative years, captivated by the surrounding rhythms and melodies. Reflecting on his early inspiration, he remarks, "I have always wanted to contribute to the music industry and seeing that I was not going to take the artiste route seriously had to do so in another way but it was Skybad who convinced me that producing was the way to go."
It was during his tenure at Knox Community College that Uter crossed paths with Christopher 'SkyBad' Wright, a seasoned music producer. Together, they formed Vybz Squad, a collaborative venture dedicated to music creation and sharing. Under SkyBad's mentorship, Winston honed his production skills, delving into the intricacies of music creation.
Their collaboration flourished with the release of the "Clear Conscience Riddim," featuring standout tracks like Nklyne's 'I Miss You,' Jquan's contributions, and the debut of rising star Starii Musiq. This compilation, characterized by captivating rhythms and soulful melodies, garnered widespread acclaim, shining a spotlight on Jugist Music's influential prowess.
