The 20-year-old talent, born in Miramar, Florida, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, has been deeply influenced by her family’s musical background. Inspired by icons like Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey, Nafaika has spent years honing her craft.
The creation of "Broken Heart Remix" was a true test of resilience. Introduced to the riddim in 2020 by her uncle, a producer, she initially hesitated to take on the cover. However, with encouragement from her parents, she dedicated years to perfecting her delivery, recording in studios across Atlanta, New York, and Miami. The original track which titled "Left With A Broken Heart", first recorded by John Holt and his iconic ska group The Paragons in 1968, was produced by the late Bunny “Striker” Lee.
