Dancehall artist Rygin King has finally released his sophomore album, "Recovery," on June 14th. The album hits the top 10 on the iTunes Top 100 Reggae Albums chart, currently holding the number 10 spot.
The 14-track album (21 if you include the raw versions) features collaborations with Damian Marley on "Things Done Change," Serani on "Moments," and the title track "Recovery" featuring Chronic Law.
Born Matthew Smith, Rygin King has been using a wheelchair since a 2020 gun attack left him paralyzed. He has been receiving active treatment in hopes of regaining his mobility.
Rygin King is set to make his debut performance since being paralyzed at the Bounce Music Festival in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday, June 15.
