Sean Paul tops the 160 nominees revealed for the 42nd IRAWMA; Freedom Street concert nominated for concert of the year

The nominees for the 42nd International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) were announced virtually on Wednesday, highlighting 160 nominees across 40 categories, along with 10 special honorees.
Leading the pack is two-time Grammy winner Sean Paul with seven nominations. Shenseea, YG Marley, Spice, and Buju Banton follow closely, each securing four nods. Other notable nominees include Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Masicka, Armanii, Beenie Man, Jada Kingdom, Collie Buddz, and Agent Sasco, who all received recognition in three categories or fewer.
The prestigious Peter Tosh Award for Recording Artist of the Year features a strong lineup of nominees: Vybz Kartel, Masicka, Sean Paul, Protoje, Buju Banton, Valiant, and Chronic Law.
Vybz Kartel’s historic Freedom Street concert, organized by Downsound Entertainment, is among the nominees for Concert of the Year. Other contenders in this category include Buju Banton’s New York performance, Reggae Sumfest, Rebel Salute, and Rototom Sunsplash.
