Jamaican icon Shaggy and Sting strengthen their bond with another release as the duo drops their latest single, "Til A Mawnin," on Thursday, February 27.
Following their Grammy-winning collaborative album 44/876, the music legends reunite for a new single and music video celebrating one of reggae’s foundational elements: Sound System culture.
Released through a partnership between Shaggy’s Ranch Entertainment and VP Records, the track immerses listeners in reggae’s deep-rooted traditions, blending Sting’s signature melodies with Shaggy’s unmistakable flow—a fusion of classic reggae vibes and modern flair.
This track comes to life visually through the accompanying music video, directed by Jay Will, which serves as a tribute to reggae’s enduring legacy, capturing the essence of Sound System culture in a vibrant celebration.
Written by Shaggy, Sting, and Henry “Junjo” Lawes, "Til A Mawnin" is a modern reworking of the iconic “I’m Not Getting Crazy” riddim, originally produced by Lawes with backing from the legendary Roots Radics Band. This classic riddim has been the foundation for several reggae staples, including Don Carlos’ “I’m Not Crazy,” Frankie Paul’s “Worries in the Dance,” and Yellowman’s “Getting Married.”
For this refreshed version, Shaggy and Shane Hoosong take the helm as producers, injecting new energy into the track while staying true to its dancehall roots.
On March 13, Sting and Shaggy will co-headline the Reggae Rise Up Festiva, one of the largest and most anticipated reggae festivals in the country - in St. Petersburg, FL.
