Shaw’s Brace Leads Reggae Girlz to 3-0 Win Over South Africa

Jamaica's Reggae Girlz defeated South Africa in Montego Bay on Friday night, with Manchester City striker Khadija "Bunny" Shaw scoring twice to secure the victory

Jamaica's Reggae Girlz secured a 3-0 victory over South Africa's women's team at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Friday night in the first of two friendly matches.


Siobhan Wilson opened the scoring in the 28th minute, giving Hubert Busby's team a crucial first-half lead. Manchester City striker and star player Khadija "Bunny" Shaw further solidified Jamaica's dominance with a brace in the 54th and 82nd minutes, showcasing her unstoppable form. Shaw brought her international goal tally to an impressive 57 for Jamaica.



19-year-old goalkeeper Liya Brooks of the Washington State Cougars, made her senior debut for the Reggae Girlz.


Both teams are set for another fixture on Monday night at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.
