May marked a significant comeback for Shenseea. While a few new names from the dancehall's new generation, most notably Skippa, made an impact on the local scene and dominated the YouTube charts, Shenseea's release of her new album "Never Gets Late Here" announced her return in a big way.

Her international achievements and stronghold on the global market marked a triumphant return to the top. Staying true to her Jamaican roots while incorporating cross-continental collaborations, she conquered the charts. "Worked Me Out" with Wizkid and "Flava" with Coi Leray earned her significant spots on the iTunes charts in the U.S. and many other countries.

We've already reviewed the album here, but a simple monthly overview highlights the key point: Shenseea is aiming to become the biggest international Jamaican dancehall/pop star, and her potential is evident through her strategic collaborations and connections.

Her smash hit single this year, "Hit and Run" featuring Masicka became the fastest dancehall track to reach 50 million views on YouTube. Viral footage from Seychelles shows the audience singing along word for word, proving its international reach.

She also graced major stages this month, including a headlining performance at London's City Splash. Additionally, her upcoming feature on the "Bad Boys: Ride Or Die" soundtrack highlights that her journey is about to reach even greater heights.

There will always be critics and those who don't connect, but from a global perspective, this was a month that solidified her impact.
