Nicki Minaj, Skillibeng, Collaborates once again
13 years after the release of her debut album, 'Pink Friday,' Nicki Minaj has finally unveiled the highly anticipated sequel, 'Pink Friday 2,' on December 8th.
In addition to noteworthy collaborations with established rappers, Minaj once again showcased her affection for dancehall, teaming up with the emerging dancehall sensation Skeng. This time, the dynamic trio, including Skillibeng, dropped the high-energy single 'Forward From Trini,' produced by rising German producer, Basbeats and additional producers are Melio Sounds and Drop Top Records.
The 41-year-old Trinidadian-American rapper collaborated with Skeng on the remix of the massive hit 'Likkle Miss,' which achieved significant success on its own. Minaj also joined forces with Skillibeng for a remix of 'Crocodile Teeth,' a track released two years ago.
The album features collaborations with a stellar lineup, including Drake ("Needle"), Future ("Nicki Hendrix"), J. Cole ("Let Me Calm Down"), Lil Uzi Vert ("Everybody"), "RNB" featuring Lil Wayne and Tate Kobang, and a gospel infusion with star Tasha Cobbs Leonard on "Blessings."
'Pink Friday 2' marks Minaj's first album since her 2018 release, 'Queen,' which included hit singles like "Good Form," "Chun Li," and "Bed" featuring Ariana Grande. Alongside Grande, Minaj enlisted features from the likes of Lil Wayne, Future, The Weeknd, and others. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, with 185,000 album-equivalent units.
