Govana with Skeng, set to drop another Spanish Town collab

Dancehall star Govana is poised for the release of his upcoming album, titled "Legacy," hinting at another collaboration as he teams up with fellow artist Skeng for a new single. The single titled, "Dat Me Say" is set to be released on Govana's birthday, Friday, May 10th.

Govana has played an important role in supporting Skeng's career since his breakthrough in 2020. Both artists hail from Spanish Town and have previously collaborated on the massive "1Matik" riddim from 2021, with Skeng's "Gvnman Shift" and Govana's theme song "1Matik" receiving significant airplay.

Their previous collaboration, titled "Gvnman Spaniard," was released in 2022 and has racked up over 10 million views so far. Now, they set to drop their second collaboration together.

This collaboration follows the recent release of the viral hit single "Pull Over," featuring dancehall songstress Jada Kingdom, which has already amassed 1.1 million views. Govana, whose real name is Romeo Nelson, is now focused on his sophomore album, "Legacy".

Following his debut album, "Humans and Monsters Are Not the Same," from 2020, the 34-year-old deejay has collaborated with producers such as Chimney Records, Emudio, CjChemist, and Di Truth Records for his forthcoming project. He is leading the way with his own label, Raheef Muzik Group.
