Previous stagings of Streetz in Ocho Rios saw performances by Ding Dong, and Sky Juice from Metro Media with patron numbers of up to 5,000 and 7,000 respectively. A similar level of quality and success is anticipated on September 2nd. Not only will patrons be graced by a performance by Masicka but they can further anticipate pure vibes with the sounds of Boom Boom, Shukkle Bus, Chrome and Coppershot all within the aesthetics of the authentic ‘street’ style of dancehall.
Bringing the festival to Kingston, the hosts look towards a greater turnout and support from their patrons. “We are exceptionally proud of the success we’ve had with our last two stagings of Streetz in St. Ann and we are looking forward to taking it to Kingston for our third staging,” Chad Williams, one of the Directors of the festival noted. “A big thank you to Dragon Stout for seeing our vision and coming on board in such a major way. I know Masicka is excited to finally perform for his Kingston fans and we expect a stellar performance, as usual,” he continued. Finally, Williams ensures that patrons can look forward to a, “top tier execution with easy bar access and a safe and comfortable environment to enjoy dancehall music.”
