Summer is around the corner: the outstanding Songs of the week

Kemar Highcon shoots again in times of controversy, Aidonia directs his attention to the ladies, Alkaline delivers a strong message and Rajahwild continues to deliver. Let's dive into this week’s picks

It wasn't the same massive number of releases as in the past few weeks, but we still featured some promising releases. Here is the list.


Kemar Highcon Ft. Teejay – 'Grand Theft Auto'

It seems that top producer, Rvssian, is doing everything just to save the original dancehall sound after once again showcasing his creativity with a catchy beat and connecting on a possible hit song. Rvssian teamed up with Kemar Highcon after his recent public legal situation – a felony charge in the US; transformed it to music. Together with Teejay, they deliver a trendy, infectious and bouncy track that blends well with the summer vibes.



Aidonia – 'Woie'

Aidonia always knows how to satisfy the ladies. The ‘1Voice’ Deejay matched the vibey single titled ’Woie’ with a well-written script, to create an impactful visual. This single was released 2 months ago via his own label 'Banga House Records' and co-produced with 'Quantanium Records'.



Patrice Roberts Ft. Tarrus Riley – 'All My Love'

Caribbean collaboration is exactly what is needed in the summer. Soca-Powerhouse Patrice Roberts teams up with ‘Singy Singy’ for a new single over a relaxing beat, with both singing harmoniously. The multifaceted Caribbean influence is evident in both the melody and on the beat.



Alkaline – 'If Dem Ever'

Despite the fact that he is not always on the radar, Alkaline has once again found himself on the trending chart on YouTube Jamaica. Here he combines his typical flow with lyrical prowess that creates some menace and some have already taken it as a war-declaration. Sponge Music and Autobamb Records play their part with this war-ready beat.



Rytikal – ‘Mirror'

Rytikal has a kind of pure lyrical ability that has been proven several times in the past few years. The 'Chosen' singer has returned with that lyrical approach, as he aims to regain front-running spots in the music industry. It’s clear that there is unique talent here and with more consistency he would be able to reclaim top spot.



Vybz Kartel – ‘Come Sit Down’

With some health issues and even rumors of his death; Nothing seems to stop the 'World Boss' from continuing to be effective. Vybz Kartel strikes once again with a song dripping with sexiness for the ladies on a beat that can definitely be a hit on the dance floors.



RajahWild – "Wild Out"

Rajahwild continues on his path to establish his name in the dancehall industry. With his rap style and flow, the rising talent torches this catchy beat co-produced by Zimi Records and the emerging team of ‘Now Or Never’. RajahWild spits lyrics on regular trendy topics and has already placed himself in the 5th spot on the YouTube trending chart.





Skippa – ‘4:51’

Skippa's intriguing talent continues to generate interest in the dancehall space. The typical trappy beat produced by the rising producer ‘Sulfa Ge’ along with ‘Disaster Music’ and ‘Chargie Records’, encourages the young artiste to showcase his lyrical skills with a melodic song that is accompanied by a music video. Skippa proves that he can produce meaningful songs at any given time.



Pablo YG - 'In Da Club'

The renowned producer, ‘Countree Hype’ is known for his infectious beats and this time he teams up with the rising north coast talent, Pablo YG for a contagious track. As he is about to release his debut mixtape titled, 'Bad Juvi', Pablo YG proves that he never stops working and continues to consistently produce new material.
