Mac and Panda aim for a summer
The summer is already here, so it's time to step up the tempo. After captivating the local scene's attention with Teejay's viral hit, 'Drift'; the rising producers Panda and DJ Mac aim to channel the single’s success into a complete riddim compilation.
The second single on the catchy beat titled, "Flamez Rock", by dancer/entertainer, Kaka Highflamez, has been released accompanied by a music video filmed by the video team of Kreative Klique. The producer duo also teased the next release, titled "Seh Feh" by dancehall frontrunner Chronic Law.
The compilation which is entitled, ‘Banga Rock Riddim’ should include more songs from dancehall artistes such as Topmann, 10tik, Teebone, Marksman featuring selecta Jiggy D and possibly a single from the rising female artiste, Stalk Ashley. Other names on the riddim will be Djaay, Roshawny BadG, GuzuBad and Dystans.
‘Drift’; the lead single which had already become a viral hit on the dancehall scene, gained even more momentum since its release last month. The music video has already racked up 1.8 million views on Youtube, and multi-million streams across all various digital streaming platforms.
"Drift is a dance created by Gabbidon", explained the Uptop Boss, Teejay in a recent interview. "mi a artiste and mi dat versatile, mi haffi vibe up the thing, the summer is coming", he also mentioned.
Concurrently; DJ Mac, one of the most talked about producers in Jamaica right now, has recorded another milestone achievement with his contribution on Byron Messia's ‘No Love’ album, after it entered the top 10 on the Billboard chart in the UK.
