Jamaica's triple jump wunderkind Jaydon Hibbert received the prestigious Olympic Spirit Award from Jamaica’s Olympic Association on Saturday.
"Last night was a moment I will never forget—a humbling reminder of the journey to Paris 2024. This recognition reminds me that I am resilient," the elated Hibbert shared on social media.
In a post shared by his management team, led by Tanya Lee Perkins of Leep Marketing, they extended their congratulations to the young talent: "Congratulations to Jaydon Hibbert on being the first-ever recipient of the JOA Olympic Spirit Award at last night's ceremony!
Jaydon's dedication, sportsmanship, and excellence embody the true essence of the Olympic values."
The accompanying citation read: "Jaydon Hibbert was injured, but in every sense of the term, he was a fitting example of the epithet 'give it my all.' The Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) celebrates character, valour, and unyielding grit."
