The 'Gwann Suh' deejay leads dancehall's new-gen wave with NYC Recognition after bringing Chronic Law, RajahWild, and Skeng on stage at Orcabessa Music Festival
Valiant's unstoppable journey continues
It's been two years since Valiant's unforgettable rise in the dancehall scene, which began with the viral success of his 'Ketch E Hat' slang and hits like 'North Carolina,' 'St. Mary,' and many others. He has continued to expand that list with even more hits, showing no signs of slowing down as accolades continue to pour in.
Yesterday, following his performance at the Oracabessa Caribbean Music Festival, Valiant was honored with a Public Advocate Certificate from the City of New York. The certificate, presented by the Public Advocate, recognized his "dedicated service to community and cause" in connection with the Oracabessa Caribbean Music Festival.
The show, held at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, NY, featured many dancehall and reggae stars performing in front of thousands of fans. The event included performances by Marcia Griffiths, Patrice Roberts, Louie Culture, and more, setting the stage for explosive sets by Jada Kingdom and Valiant. Valiant also brought along new-generation acts as special guests, including the likes of Chronic Law, Skeng, RajahWild, and others.
