Dancehall sensation Valiant announces the release date for his highly anticipated debut project under Sony Music UK. Titled “Prove Them Wrong”, the EP is set to drop on May 23.

The project is led by the single “Whole Lotta,” which has already made waves across streaming platforms. Valiant is also gearing up to drop another track, “Selfish,” along with its accompanying music video. This marks a major career milestone for the artist, who signed with Sony Music UK last year—further cementing his position as one of dancehall’s leading voices.

In a previous conversation with Kaboom Magazine, the “Down” singjay revealed plans to push the boundaries of the genre by incorporating Afrobeats elements into what he describes as "Afro-dancehall." The project will also feature several international artists, whose identities remain under wraps. “I had some big hits for the ladies last year,” he noted, “but this year, we’re also focusing on reality.”

Following a standout performance at Wireless Festival that signaled his growing international appeal, Valiant is set to take the stage again—this time as one of the headliners at City Splash Festival in the UK on May 26, just three days after his EP drops.
