Dancehall legend Vybz Kartel drops his first official release aimed directly at the ladies since his prison release with 'Good Like Jesus', accompanied by a captivating music video. The single, produced by Kartel’s own Vybz Kartel Muzik and expertly mixed and mastered by Redboom, showcases the refined sound fans have come to expect.
With 'Good Like Jesus', Kartel taps into the style and voice reminiscent of his classic era, giving longtime Gaza Nation fans—especially the ladies—a taste of the timeless energy they’ve been eagerly waiting for.
In addition, the deejay is treating fans to a promo track, 'White Rum', which serves as a teaser for the upcoming release of his Str8 Vybz Rum brand, set to hit stores soon, as he recently revealed.
Kartel’s recent releases have only amplified the momentum he’s built since The Comet made waves as his first track post-freedom. With 7.5 million views on YouTube to date, The Comet dominated Jamaica’s YouTube Trending charts, holding the #1 spot for 26 days—until his son, Likkle Addi, recently claimed the top position with Man of the Match, a single featuring Kartel himself. Since then, Squash’s Get Up has taken over the top spot.
With a steady flow of fresh releases and strategic ventures, Kartel is firmly back in shape, with fans eagerly awaiting his next moves as he reclaims his place in dancehall’s elite.
