The incarcerated dancehall legend, Vybz Kartel stays productive even without the influence of the street's environment, changing culture and the infectious Jamaican studio vibes.

The World Boss tightens his relationship with rising dancehall star Skillibeng with both artistes teaming up once again for the song; "The King and the Prince", released two weeks ago and is already approaching 600,000 views on YouTube, to date.

The Eastsyde King visited Kartel's Gaza Community of Portmore, St. Catherine while shooting a music video for the single which is currently at #21 on the Youtube trending chart in Jamaica. For Skillibeng, this is a first-ever visit to the community of his childhood hero.

However, this wasn't the first time both dancehall artistes have teamed up for a track. In 2020, they joined forces together with Tommy Lee Sparta for the successful single, "Bad Gyal" which created waves on the global dancehall scene.

The 47-year-old deejay releases new music on a regular basis and continues to stay relevant with multiple collaborations with the current crop of younger artistes that have since created a household name for themselves in this music playground that constantly changes and evolves.

He recently added to his never-ending catalog; the single "Nuh Dweet" on the Play Time Riddim by 6ix Real Records & Hemton Music, and also the single "Corrupt" that many claims to be a diss song to the former Gaza member, Popcaan. The world boss also joined forces with current dancehall front-runner, Valiant for a new collaboration titled, "Time Heals". Kartel also post a teaser for a new collaboration single with dancehall artist Squash, titled "Tycoon" which is expected to be released soon.

Last weekend was busy for Kartel, who also released his new 8-track EP, "Numb", dedicated to his girlfriend Sidem Ozturk, which includes the project’s title, “Numb” as the raunchy lead single.
