Vybz Kartel takes Freedom Street global with two shows during a four-day weekend in one of Europe’s hottest dancehall destinations, Malta, slated for September 11-14

Vybz Kartel, taking Freedom Street Globally
Following his first concert in 2025 in Tortola, British Virgin Islands—his first performance outside Jamaica in over 13 years, dancehall megastar Vybz Kartel and Live Nation is bringing his Freedom Street concert to Malta for a full weekend from September 11-14. The announcement was made on Wednesday.
During the four-day, four-night weekend, Kartel will headline two shows with two different setlists, while additional artists and DJs will be announced as part of the full schedule.
Kartel adds these dates to his already packed schedule, which includes headlining Summerjam in Germany at the start of July and his highly anticipated guest appearance at Drake's three-night headline show at Wireless Festival in the UK.
The European shows will follow his performances across the Caribbean, with stops in the Bahamas, Trinidad, and Guyana, among others. Additionally, Kartel is set to headline Reggae Tour at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on April 11-12, marking his first U.S. concert in over 20 years.
The historic Freedom Street concert, held at Kingston National Stadium on New Year’s Eve, marked Worl' Boss’ first performance in over 13 years following his release from prison last year. The event drew a massive crowd of over 35,000 fans and celebrities from around the world. The show featured several special guests, including Skillibeng, Spice, Popcaan, Jah Vinci, and other surprise cameos.
In recent years, Malta has become one of Europe’s top destinations for dancehall fans, drawing massive turnouts from the UK and hosting festivals featuring artists such as Popcaan, Skillibeng, Beenie Man and Spice.
