The 'World Boss' is officially making his return. Vybz Kartel has officially released his first single since his prison release, titled "The Comet." Produced by Redboom Supamix under his label, Vybz Kartel Muzik, the track dropped on Friday, September 13, and wasted no time in dominating the charts.

As fans eagerly awaited his return, the single is currently topped the YouTube Trending in Jamaica, amassing over 677k views within just a few hours of its release. It also surged into the iTunes Top 100 Reggae Songs chart, currently placing at #5.

With his lyrical brilliance still sharp, "The Comet" finds Kartel reflecting on his accomplishments during his time in prison. The track is accompanied by a music video featuring fresh post-release visuals and viral moments, marking his first appearance in a music video in over 12 years and 10 months. The King of Dancehall’s return is officially in motion, and the excitement continues to build.

The single was recorded just last week in his home studio by top producer Ricardo "Redboom" Reid, one of Kartel's closest and most loyal collaborators.
