Ahead of his highly anticipated "Freedom Street" concert, marking his first performance post-incarceration after 13 years behind bars, dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel hosted a press launch alongside his partners for the show Downsound Entertainment’s CEO Joe Bogdanovich and Skatta Burrell to introduce the show.

At a press conference held at Janga's Soundbar & Grill on Belmont Road, the dancehall icon reveals the concert lineup and announces an electrifying three-hour performance.

Kartel shared additional details about the event, highlighting a carefully designed stage layout, advanced lighting, and top-quality sound systems to ensure an exceptional experience. Emphasizing security, he revealed that around 400 police officers and 300 private security personnel will be present for the event. Traffic control measures are also in place to facilitate smooth transit to and from the venue. He also announced a special Black Friday deal offering fans a 50% discount on bleacher tickets.

Kartel stated, "It's gonna be amazing. The king of dancehall, me, the Queen, Spice, the prince Skillibeng, and my two sons Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi will share the stage. A lot more cameos like Tommy Lee Sparta, Popcaan, and more will be there."

Kartel teased fans with the promise of thrilling surprises, mentioning that guests like Busta Rhymes are "for sure" on the lineup, with hints of a “Canadian rapper” and a female artist—fueling speculation that Drake could make an appearance.

"I’m doing the workout, at the Kym (we don’t go to the gym)," he joked. "Doing gymnastics, doing yoga every morning and evening to give a 3-hour show," the deejay shared.

He added, "Joe spent a lot of time, effort, and money on it," mentioning that gates at the National Stadium will open at 4 p.m. Kartel also mentioned that exclusive, high-quality merch will be available for purchase.

Regarding his 2025 schedule, the World Boss shared, “I don’t want to jump about into traveling to major countries, but there are a lot of offers from overseas, including the US and Canada, with a possible appearance at Wireless Festival 2025.”
