Downsound Entertainment has unveiled the full lineup for the 34th edition of Reggae Sumfest, with dancehall kingpin Vybz Kartel making his long-awaited return to the big stage after more than 14 years.
This will be the World Boss' second live show in Jamaica since his release from prison last year after serving 13 years. Having since teamed up with Downsound Entertainment’s Joe Bogdanovich and CEO Skatta Burrell, who have played key roles in his post-release management and appearances, including the historic Freedom Street—his return to Sumfest felt inevitable and is now officially confirmed.
Kartel last graced the prestigious Sumfest stage in the late 2000s, with his final performance taking place in 2011.
Other major names include Shenseea, set to perform for the first time since 2020, marking her second headlining on the biggest platform in Jamaica, and Masicka, who headlined 2023’s staging.
The star-studded cast also features Skeng, Govana, Tommy Lee Sparta, Shaneil Muir, Laden, Marcy Chin, and more. One of the most talked-about artists in recent months, Jamal, will make his debut as a main act in his hometown. Additional special guest artists will be announced soon.
Reggae Night will spotlight top-tier reggae talent including gener stars lik Protoje, Tarrus Riley, Lila Iké, Bugle, Fantan Mojah and D’Yani.
The 6-day event runs from July 13 to 19 at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
