Vybz Kartel will be awarded the 'MOBO Impact Award' at this year's ceremony, slated for February 18 at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle. Kartel will receive the prestigious award as he sets foot in the UK for the first time in over a decade.

“Vybz Kartel’s impact on music is immeasurable. His influence extends beyond the world of dancehall, in which he is a musical giant. Honouring these two pioneers on the MOBO stage in Newcastle will be a historic and unforgettable moment you don’t want to miss.” MOBO Founder & CEO Kanya King said.

The night will feature performances from Spice, Krept & Konan, Odeal, Darkoo, Nova Twins, Bashy, and DJ AG (with Pozer and LeoStayTrill), along with a special UK R&B celebration led by DJ Ace, Jaz Karis, Nao, Sasha Keable, Shae Universe, and Shola Ama.
