SCRPTIID at the New Rules Festival on Sunday
Billboard recording artiste SCRPTIID was well received at the New Rules Festival at the Mount Vernon Memorial Stadium in New York on September 3rd in-front of the mass 7000+ patronage.
Romario O'Shane Hanson (born September 23, 1994), is a native of Spanish Town, St. Catherine in Jamaica who was inspired by his uncle who passed away when he was just 14 years old. Reggae’s newest sensation SCRPTIID earned Billboard success earlier this year for his efforts on his release with Jada Kingdom. The single 'On My Way' (OMW) featuring Jada Kingdom was released on February 25th, 2023 went #3 on the Billboard’s World Digital Singles Chart.
Riding the success of the ‘OMW’ single, during his 13-minute long set, SCRPTIID offloaded the popular ‘On My Way’ single among others including; ‘Powaz’, ‘Next Ex’ and ‘10 A Day’ to resounding ovations with encore demands. He was then re-introduced by female Hip-Hop artiste Billy B where the duo gave the revelers a snippet of the remixed version of ‘OMW’ while showcasing his dancing skills with her.
The venue again erupted in jubilation when SCRPTIID was presented with his Billboard plaque for the single. Since its release, the single has also experienced multiple platform success by clinching editorial/chart placements; on iTunes (4), Apple Music (1), Pandora (5), Audiomack (1), AfroBeats (21) and a title cover for the 'Dancehall Party' playlist on Spotify.

Alkaline’s New Rules Festival continues to impact both the local and overseas markets with the Mount Vernon Stadium graced with great performances also from Mavado, Skinny Fabulous. Charly Black, 450, 1Skimask and Alkaline himself.
‘Powaz’ is the latest single to be released by the artiste and is currently over 80K+ views on YouTube and over 13K+ on Spotify since its September 1 release date.
