Jamaica's Premiere Carnival company, Xodus Carnival is stepping up its game for the 2025 season with exciting new developments, highlighted by the appointment of Kandi King as Head of Marketing. King's influence is already evident as Xodus aims to elevate the Carnival experience to new heights. Known for creativity, energy, and vibrant costume design, Xodus shared a glimpse of what participants can expect this year.

Kandi King, the new Head of Marketing at Xodus Carnival, discussed the inclusive and diverse options available for this season’s costumes. "One of the things that Xodus has done this year is that we have more options than ever. So we have at least four options per section, and last year, that's actually something new. We want to be more inclusive; we want to make sure that everybody is comfortable on the road," she shared.

"We want to make sure that every body type can find and fit a costume to be in and comfortable in. So, we have a lot of options this year." Embracing a range of styles, King added, "We have what we're calling naughty and nice options, and that's just where it’s from. More skimpy or less skimpy costumes."

In a move towards greater inclusivity, she noted, "The thing that we're doing different this year, I would say, has activity amount option. We just want every body type, whether you’re short, tall, slim, sexy, conservative, whatever it is that you are, we want you to be able to find a costume on your own. So I think our design team did an excellent job, coming up with the designs, to make it more inclusive this year."

The lead-up to the Road March is packed with events, each designed to build anticipation and strengthen the Xodus brand. "We have a lot of events that lead up to carnival every single year. We get a strong turnout and we really think it's a part of brand awareness. We think it's important for brand building, and we want people to experience a taste of carnival without having to go to carnival, so that they will want to go to carnival."

With a focus on attendee satisfaction, King emphasized, "I just want people to know that Xodus gives you a really good carnival experience. I want people to know that Xodus really cares about your spend; we care about how comfortable you are in your costume, we care about your experience on the road, and we are going to make sure that you have the time of your life on the road."
