YG Marley’s breakout single, 'Praise Jah in the Moonlight', has been certified Platinum in the United States for surpassing 1 million units in combined sales and streams.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded the Platinum certification on Friday, November 22, after the song reached the sales and streaming equivalent of one million units sold in the U.S. The track has also achieved significant commercial success in multiple countries.
In Canada, the single was certified Platinum by Music Canada on June 24, 2024, for surpassing 80,000 units sold. Additionally, it received Gold certification in France in May 2024, reflecting over 100,000 units sold.
Co-written by YG Marley and his mother, Lauryn Hill, the song samples Crisis, a 1978 track by Bob Marley and the Wailers. Its widespread acclaim underscores YG Marley's growing influence in the music industry.
